The gates of the global league of companies holding social platforms have swung open to the My Record initiative.
The communications, contents, and movies, television and sport star agency Endeavor – WME has expressed its faith in the My Record platform and its aim to become a global player. For the young initiative, the Endeavor group’s investment and strategic partnership will be a marketing lever for building the network and distributing the platform. It will also enable the initiative to deepen its hold on the market by presenting it to super-entrepreneurs, including the founders of the world’s leading social networks.
According to Endeavor CEO Ari Emanuel, the connection between the global communications giant and the startup taking its first steps is based on faith in My Record’s purpose: “Reviving the authentic human voice and conversation.” This purpose derives from the strategic intent of creating a social network that will challenge the existing platforms, which are ridden by radicalization and superficiality.
Conversely, My Record will encourage authenticity and open discussion, integrating each person’s personal and unique voice in the polyphony of sounds and contents of culture and history in the dimensions of time and place. Unlike the emerging trend of glorifying virtual reality technology, reviving conversation through the human voice channels digital technology back to serving authentic human discourse.
The LPPD methodology, which I have integrated in the past in a range of technology companies and startups, served as a working framework in which My Record’s minimum viable product (MVP) was designed.
Unlike the traditional business environment, where market introduction occurred after the completion of product development, in the present business environment product development occurs on the move, accommodating user needs and in conjunction with them (design partners). My Record’s product development journey began in the Israeli market environment, and the learning products helped the initiative team define the roadmap for the technological development of the product. Now we are preparing to expand the circle of user communities and develop the product in accordance with the global market.
The three foundations of the My Record enterprise create an equilateral triangle: a. the storytelling tradition and culture, b. a voice-based platform, and finally c. location of the story on a virtual map where it occurred, or to which it relates – the symbolization and the soul of the location and the place holder of our stories and narrative.
The product is a social platform that turns the raw materials – audio stories planted in the place they occurred – into a valuable emotional experience for the communities of narrators and listeners and the basis of a joint cultural creation.
The opening of the gates of the global social network market will pose two challenges for the staff in the coming months: a. accelerating the pace of development and improving the quality of the platform (MVP beta model) in accordance with market experience. b. defining and producing the distribution strategy (network effect).
The speed of development and market introduction defines business status. Development and integration processes that took decades in the 20th century must be realized today in a matter of months (see Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and TikTok). The partnership with Endeavor will enable a quick break into that realm.
As every cyclist knows, motion and velocity are conditions for stability. The same goes for entering the global market – we cannot be satisfied with slow movement (even if it is considered cautious). In order to take advantage of the opportunity that has been opened to us, we must accelerate the pace of product development, organization of the operational array, and the connection with marketing and distribution channels, all at the same time.
We must not only invest thought and creative planning in the design and technological development of the app, but also simultaneously adopt advanced managerial and methodological perspectives to enable the optimal use of the resources at our disposal: people, product design, technology, and marketing.
Excitement is high. We are embarking on a new stage of the entrepreneurship journey.
